The Kessler Enterprise was founded by Richard C. Kessler in 1984 in Atlanta, Georgia and is comprised of several wholly owned subsidiaries that have completed several large-scale commercial projects, including the 500-acre Silverwood Plantation residential community and the 900-acre Georgia North International Industrial Park.

Richard's expertise in the hotel and real estate business is grounded in his experiences with Cecil B. Day in the founding and expansion of Days Inn of America. Recognizing the potential for phenomenal growth in Florida in the early 1970s, Richard established Day Realty of Orlando in 1972 and began developing and successfully operating over 3,000 rooms in Orlando. He served as President, CEO, and Chairman of Days Inn of America from 1975 until 1984 when the company sold, at which time Richard turned his attention to other endeavors and founded The Kessler Enterprise, Inc.

Believing that people want to be entertained, have fun, and be comfortable when they stay at a hotel on business or on vacation, Richard developed his vision for themed hotels. The inspiring Kessler Collection now includes 10 boutique and luxury hotels, as well as three residential properties with new developments in progress.

The Kessler Enterprise, Inc. is actively looking for new hotel development opportunities and looks for unique, independent high-end hotels. The company does an in-depth analysis of potential hotel sites located in prime tourist/commercial areas that lend themselves to the development of a boutique hotel that relates to the surrounding community. The concept can also be applied to existing hotels/motels that are prime for a change in identity as a themed independent or franchised hotel.
